Amanda Woolley
Amanda Woolley is co-writer of Berhane – the Peace Messenger, the biography of Berhane Woldegabriel, an Eritrean refugee who settled in the UK for the last thirty years of his life. He became a dedicated peacemaker, using his great political understanding and interpersonal skills to build bridges both amongst his own Eritrean people, and within wider communities. Amanda worked in London for over three decades in adult education. At Kensington and Chelsea College in 1993, she met Berhane as a colleague and they became partners for many years. Amanda’s interest in Eritrea led her to do an MA in Asian & African History at SOAS. She currently works as a bereavement counsellor in a hospice.
