Heather Critchlow
Heather Critchlow grew up in rural Aberdeenshire and trained as a business journalist after
studying history and social science at university. Published by Canelo in May 2023, her debut
novel Unsolved was the first in a series about true crime podcaster Cal Lovett, and was
shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize.
Unburied was published in January 2024. It will be followed by Unsound in September and a
further two in the Cal Lovett series. Heather’s first speculative crime thriller The Tomorrow
Project will be out in hardback in Spring 2025. Her short stories have appeared in crime fiction
anthologies Afraid of the Light, Afraid of the Christmas Lights and Afraid of the Shadows. She
lives in St Albans.
