Kezia Racher-Kaye

Ever since I was old enough to read, I’ve had my head stuck in a book! Over the years, I’ve
studied various aspects of creative writing and had a long-held wish to write books for children.
Although I love anything with fur and paws, guinea pigs are my first love. I am lucky enough to
have a gang of five gorgeous guinea girls currently and have been a servant to many more over
the last couple of decades. All the characters in The Guinea Pig Detective Agency are based on
the personalities and antics of actual guinea pigs with whom I have shared my life.
 
The book is a fun-filled caper with the guinea pig detectives eager to catch a criminal
mastermind who has been kidnapping hamsters. Although it’s aimed at children aged around 7-9
years, since its publication I have found that it seems to appeal to a wide age range, including
adults!
 
The next book is currently in progress, and I hope to have it published by the end of the year.
