Mark Ballabon

Mark Ballabon is a philosopher, published author and environmentalist who has been teaching
and writing about personal development for over three decades.

Working with a team of teenage and professional editors in recent years, Mark has been
developing a trilogy for young adult readers. The first book, the acclaimed Home – My Life in the
Universe was released on Earth Day 2022 with Waterstones.

Home is an original coming-of-age story based on true events and characters, featuring the
climate crisis, friendships and a profound journey of self-discovery. It has been equally popular
with adults and young adults alike, and has led to invitations from dozens of schools across the
UK, Europe and the UAE. It’s received outstanding reviews from students, teachers, librarians
and in the press where the book was a recommended summer read by The Scotsman.

Mark lives with his wife in a village in Hertfordshire, where he has been campaigning for
protection of the greenbelt, biodiversity and natural habitats.
