Pippa Harvey

Pippa’s debut novel The Watcher’s Lullaby is a psychological thriller – a spooky tale told by two
women, with over a century between them, who experience strange and emotional occurrences
living in the same farmhouse. The novel weaves themes of motherhood and post-natal
depression. Inspired by her aunt and uncle’s move to a creepy Tudor farmhouse, it evokes the
timeless, remote Suffolk landscape.

Pippa revived her childhood love of telling stories when she attended a creative writing course
and began writing The Watcher’s Lullaby shortly afterwards, self publishing in February 2024 on
the imprint Feisty Squirrel Books.

Pippa is currently working on a second novel, title to be confirmed! Beth finds comfort in her
grief and flashbacks to her past when she flicks through family recipes she finds in her mother’s
journals when she dies. Childhood memories, seen through adult eyes, challenge her perceptions
and force her to unpick a knotty relationship she thought she understood. Watch this space!
In her former professional lives, she practised law as an employment law solicitor and later
became a primary school teacher. For fun, she enjoys reading, dancing tango and rollercoasters.
She lives with her two fantastic teenagers, husband Mike and a black and white cavapoo, Luna,
in Letchworth Garden City. Luna occasionally keeps her feet warm while she writes, but more
often than not nibbles her socks.
