    A Joyful Celebration of Books: Highlights from the Herts Book Festival

    The Herts Book Festival was a big success, and everyone had a wonderful time! The event was packed with activities that delighted book lovers of all ages. One of the best parts was the large number of authors who attended alongside the number of book launches that took place as well. Many writers came to share their stories and talk about their books. There were storytelling events where authors read aloud, bringing characters to life. Kids and adults sat together, completely engrossed in the magical worlds created by these talented writers.     Stunning new literary talent at the Book Festival

    In a great double-bill for book lovers, Radio 1 presenter and avid book reader Fee Mak will be talking to rising literary star Kirsty Capes about her new novel Girls on Saturday 18th May at 3.15pm. Kirsty’s debut novel Careless was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2022. Girls is published by Orion on 16th May. The story follows two sisters, Mattie and Nora, on an all-or-nothing road trip across the US, exploring the intricacies of motherhood, friendship and the ties that bind us, or break us.     Steven Vinacour reveals the secrets of TV and radio script writing Everyone loves a good laugh, but have you ever wondered who writes the jokes delivered by the comedians and presenters on TV and radio?
